Debjani Duncan MBA

Debjani Duncan

Project specialist: Janitorial supplies, Laboratory, Medical, Workwear & PPE

Debjani joined ERA in early 2007 following a 22 year Health Care Sector career that included a number of diverse clinical and managerial roles. She delivers significant success for clients in a range of clinical settings.

Debjani specialises in delivering savings to clients in the independent health sector. She has completed numerous consumables and services projects working mainly with care home groups, charities and private clinics.

Drawing on direct experience of using the products at the bedside, as well as many years of working with suppliers in a procurement capacity, Debjani is able to quickly grasp a client’s needs and deliver solutions that match their core values.

Incorporating this expert knowledge and experience into ERA’s proven systems and purchasing influence, Debjani ensures that all procurement decisions are mindful of:

maintaining resident/patient safety
managing clinical risk
maintaining quality of care
meeting regulatory standards
maintaining commercial and clinical outcomes
She is also keen to develop long standing client relationships based on mutual trust and respect. This often leads to projects that continue far beyond the initial engagement period. For example, she has been working with her longest standing client for over 10 years.

Prior to joining ERA Debjani worked as a nurse up to matron level in roles within surgery, oncology, neurology, transplant medicine, trauma and intensive care. She then augmented her BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies degree by completing an MBA, before moving into management and taking positions within clinical risk/governance, teaching and service redesign. Her most recent role before ERA was as an Associate Director heading up the clinical team of the largest Clinical Procurement Hub in the UK.

Debjani uses her industry knowledge and bedside experience to ensure her projects deliver outstanding outcomes whilst always considering clinical best practice alongside price.
