Key achievements include:
- Transformed previously loss-making business into profit, moving it from losing £m’s pa to a profit within 2 years. This involved creating a standalone central office from scratch, directing Sales Management, Finance, Operation Management, Procurement and IT , budgeting and creating a strategic business plan , whilst ensuring new business development , and securing funding and implementing Industry leading sales, customer and delivery development technologies.
- Under my direction and stewardship, aspiring to promote industry leading Packaging sustainability credentials, we worked collaboratively across our team and with strategic supply partners to create, develop and approve Industry leading rPET content in all our Plastic bottles and paper drinks straws amongst others.
- Significantly improved working capital position as head of Procurement, leading an internal cross functional process review to reduce working capital substantially by reducing stock, improving creditor days and implementing a process which not only achieved this but also improved ‘blocked stock’ 20 fold, all whilst enhancing strategic key supplier relationships.
- Procurement lead in employers largest ever Merger/Acquisition (M&A), generating significant savings in year one.
