Julian is a well-rounded senior Director and Board member with more than 25 years’ experience in business.

Working largely within the education, publishing and media industries, Julian has extensive management experience, running smaller, start-up businesses as well as working in senior management roles in blue chip, public and private sector organisations that include WH Smith, Warner Music, News Corporation, Channel 4 Television, Discovery Education and Cambridge University Press.

Julian’s strong management skills and ability to lead teams to get them working together, help his clients to benefit from successful project outcomes. Whilst at Channel 4, Julian was responsible for the implementation of Channel 4’s educational public service remit, so has real experience at the coalface of delivering against Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

From a more commercial perspective, he has also enjoyed great success having overseen two acquisitions, in the process holding together teams of people during challenging periods of disruption and change, and helping to fashion the strategic visions for the new owners.

Over his 25-year career Julian has gained exposure to a variety of business skills, mostly with a focus on sales, marketing and business development at senior levels overseeing diverse markets and customers, both large and small. This experience gives him the authority to help clients with a wide range of business issues, using innovative procurement techniques to deliver against a range of objectives, whilst lowering overall outgoings and delivering bottom line profit.
