Leigh has 20 years’ experience in Accountancy and Finance and has spent the majority of that within the Retail, Food and Catering industries.
As Finance and Commercial Director for 10 years for a major food retail company, Leigh was significantly involved in the turnaround of the brand taking it from an £800k loss to a £2m profit in 2.5 years. This led to a very successful sale of the business to a large national food manufacturer.
Leigh’s key roles within this turnaround was keeping and eye on the finances, but also significantly reducing its overhead spend and improving its cash-flow. Leigh took on many projects, such as waste control, labour control and margin improvement.
Leigh has also held many other senior roles during his time including Logistics, Warehousing, Human Resources and Franchise. This has given Leigh a very strong retail background.
Prior to this Leigh worked for a major budget hotel chain as Regional Finance Manager and has held senior roles within major food catering businesses across the UK.
