Client relationship manager
Richard is a well-rounded senior Director and Board member with over 30 years’ experience in industry.
Professionally trained as a Quantity Surveyor in private practice at the start of his career before working largely within the construction and latterly, the oil & gas industries, Richard has extensive management experience, running medium sized construction activities and manufacturing operations facilities, as well as working in a senior operational management role in a blue chip private sector multi-national organisation (Siemens plc).
Richard’s strong project and people management skills facilitate team working, thus enabling his Clients to maximise benefits, ensuring successful project outcomes. Whilst in manufacturing was responsible for the implementation of a number of operational improvement projects across multiple locations, so has real experience at the coalface of delivering successful operational improvement initiatives.
From a commercial perspective, he has also enjoyed great success having overseen a number of acquisitions, both in construction and manufacturing, and in the process holding together teams of people during challenging periods of disruption and change, helping to formulate the strategic visions for the new owners.
Over his 30+ year career, Richard has gained exposure to a variety of business skills, mostly with a focus on operations and project management at senior levels, overseeing diverse markets and customers, both large and small. This experience gives him the authority to help Clients with a wide range of business issues, using innovative procurement techniques to deliver against a range of objectives, whilst lowering overall outgoings and delivering bottom line profit.
