Client relationship manager, Project specialist
Tim Goff joined ERA after a 22 year career in Purchasing and Category Management. He has held several senior management and board positions with a number of Blue Chip retailers including Pets at Home, Iceland and Phones4u.
Whilst Tim has driven substantial cost savings for his businesses over the years, he has also focussed on developing the structures, processes and skillsets of his Procurement departments – giving them to ability to both win and maintain long term cost benefits.
In his last role before joining ERA he also managed a Far East sourcing office and quality control team, allowing him to understand global sourcing opportunities and control the concerns associated with it, such as compliance with the Modern Slavery Act (2015).
Through his experience he recognises the need for strong and trusted supplier relationships to ensure delivery of the quality of service that businesses require. As an ERA consultant, he is passionate about applying the same philosophy for his clients.
He focusses on building long term relationships and goes beyond short term gains to deliver independent analysis, informed market expertise, compliance and continued financial benefits.
Within ERA, Tim specialises in Procurement Strategy, helping clients to realise best value from their purchasing whilst creating processes to allow visibility and control for senior management.
Organisations are becoming increasingly impacted by the need for sustainable and ethical sourcing and Tim’s experience places him in a strong position to understand clients concerns and put in place measures to cope with the changing regulatory environment.
Key priorities at present include:
- Protecting clients from their import cost increases through finding savings in their operating costs
- Building robust processes for clients to allow them to maintain their hard won cost savings
- Ensuring that clients are compliant with latest ethical and sustainability requirement
